Guy loses on purpose to avoid me - legal?

He still has one spot open for tonight's game and he's now left the spot empty to avoid playing me next week in the playoffs. Is this legal in your opinions?

absolutely legal...... i thought about doing the same thing but didn't b/c it wasn't guaranteed....

theres been a lot of interesting things in fantasy the last few years with end of year strategy.

heres a fun story that ALMOST happened.

I am the #1 seed up by 3 games.
2-3-4 are all tied
#5 guy is one game behind and has the tiebreaker on 2 of the guys.

2, 3, and 4 all play the 3 guys out of the playoffs. so they win and they are in.

I play the 5th place guy.

Kellen Winslow is my TE, out this week, but I didn't want to drop a bench player to pick up a new TE and I already had 1 spot secured.

so i am losing last night 111-109.
So #5 guy is about to make the playoffs b/c he beats me and one of the guys ahead of him loses and guy that loses gets mad at me for knowingly starting a TE not playing.

THEN Romo throws the pick 6 - guy plaiyng me had DAL D and loses points to drop to 108.

That is foul IMO. That doesn't happen in my league unless you want to get kicked in the pills by the other 9 guys.

if its a big deal i'd post a poll and have people vote - then the commish can insert player into roster spot

A couple of years ago I was tied for 1st place and the other kid had me on the tie breaker so I needed to win and him to lose to win the regular season money I was winning by alot like 30 points the team i was tied with was up by 2 points and the guy he was playing wanted to avoid me in the playoffs so he sat his 2 starting rb's to avoid me and I lost out on the reg season like 500 bucks I never played in his league again
